The dream version of life in Greece
There are days in Greece that look like a magazine cover.
The sea shines like it’s just been polished.
And by 11:03 a.m., we already feel like minor characters in a Greek tragedy.
—
Jabba:
Everyone wants to live in Greece!
Jojo:
Everyone sees the colour.
Not the heat.
Jabba:
That little boat at sunrise…
I felt like a new chapter was beginning.
A whole new me!
Jojo:
Same you.
More toasted.
Jabba:
The wind in my hair
Jojo:
You don’t have hair.
You mean, your face.
Jabba:
And looking down at that beach from up there…
It looked like eternal happiness!
—
The reality of living in Greece
Jojo:
Eternal happiness is usually when we go downhill.
Not uphill.
Gasping for air.
Jabba:
It was awesome!
Jojo:
It was a workout.
Jabba:
The swing at the beach bar was so peaceful…
Slow life… salty breeze…
Jojo:
You fell asleep mid-breeze.
Jabba:
I was meditating.
Jojo:
You passed out.
Jabba:
At the port I only sat down for a second…
Jojo:
You collapsed.
Jabba:
My body said, “Enough.”
Jojo:
Your body was yelling.
—
Why slow life in Greece is not always easy
Jabba:
Then Bro went into the water.
Looked back at us.
Jojo:
And then he said, “Come on, swim!”
Jabba:
So we had no choice!
Jojo:
Family pressure.
Jabba:
I dived in like a brave sea creature!
Jojo:
More like a potato.
Jabba:
A heroic potato.
—
Jabba:
The sunset was magical…
Gold. Pink. Dramatic.
Jojo:
And you, breathing like an accordion.
Jabba:
I got emotional.
Jojo:
Your battery was at 1%.
—
Jabba:
People say, “living the dream…”
Jojo:
The sleeping part is important.
Jabba:
We are living spectacularly!
Jojo:
We are napping spectacularly.
Jabba:
Same tomorrow?
Jojo:
Of course.
Jabba:
Because everyone wants this life.
Jojo:
Yes.
And nobody talks about naps.
