Why Mum can’t stay in one place for too long

Because Mum is simply like that.
She’s always drawn to new places — sometimes unknown, sometimes familiar.
She wants to learn, see, touch and understand.

Childhood leaves marks.
Not all of them are gentle.

Mum didn’t have an easy childhood.
Alcohol at home.
Hard work.
Caring for younger siblings.
Things no ten-year-old should have to carry.

In one of those moments — very sad ones — she made herself a promise:
that when she grew up, she would be free.
That nothing and no one would limit her.

And so…
now the world carries her along.

Jabba:
Jojo… do you think Mum is running away?

Jojo:
No.
I think Mum is searching.

Jabba:
For what?

Jojo:
For space.
For breath.
For the feeling that she gets to decide.

Mum says every young person should travel.
Not to collect places,
but to become a better version of themselves.

Travel widens horizons.
It allows you to see yourself from a different perspective.
It teaches humility.
It opens you to other people.

When you rely only on yourself,
your confidence grows.
Your tolerance.
Your empathy.

You learn languages.
You learn the world.
You learn yourself.

Jabba:
So Mum travels to be herself?

Jojo:
Yes.
And to never feel trapped again.
